Superintendent's Welcome

It is with humility and pride that I am afforded the honor to speak on behalf of Ki Charter. These are exciting times in our district as we are diligently serving students who are at a critical juncture in their lives.

The work our teachers and staff do daily for their students in and beyond the classroom is unparalleled. Our administrators are genuine leaders who continue to embrace the daily challenges while striving to see that each individual is supported to the fullest in order to create a cohesive and collaborative learning environment for all. Together we have been guided with a deep-abiding and steadfast passion for seeking the maximum potential, growth, and success of children and adolescents that Ki Charter serves. It is our fervent commitment, dedication, and mission to reintroduce our students back into their respective schools with improved overall behavior, reduced learning gaps, and positive social-emotional skills and development.

Not only are we thrilled to partner with the San Marcos Treatment Center, but we are delighted to partner with the city of San Marcos and Texas State University. The importance of community and family partnerships are held in high regard for Ki Charter.

We will be faced with unforeseen challenges and opportunities as each year progresses, but you have my promise that we will be transparent in addressing these critical issues. Our students are at the forefront of everything we do, and our highest priority is for them to become active citizens in their communities.

To the parents/guardians whose students are entering Ki Charter, welcome and a sincere thank you for the trust you have placed in us.

On behalf of Ki Charter, thank you all for your support and the opportunity to lead and work with you as your superintendent.

Ki Charter has partnered with Southside Community Center, which is a non profit organization that provides shelter and food for the homeless in San Marcos. Our students study and complete a food handlers certification in their CTE class, and upon completion they are ready to cook. Our students prepare meals for Southside Community Center ‪Monday- Thursday‬ and we donate and deliver all cooked items to them daily. Through this joint effort, we are able to feed about 50 (plus) people a day.
